  1. 01Scope

    This policy explains how RMH CONTRACTING LIMITED (“RMH”, “we”) handles personal information for the RMH service at rmhcontractingnz.com. We comply with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Where these differ, we apply the standard most protective of you.

  2. 02What we collect

    • Account data — name, email, password hash.
    • Project content — photos, floor plans, descriptions and preferences you upload to generate an estimate.
    • Billing data — handled by Stripe; we store a customer ID and plan status, not full card numbers.
    • Usage & device data — pages visited, feature usage and basic analytics (see our Cookie Policy).

  3. 03How we use it

    • To generate your estimates, mood boards, timelines and preview videos.
    • To operate your account, process subscriptions and provide support.
    • To improve reliability and quality of the service.
    • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

  4. 04Legal bases (GDPR)

    We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), for our legitimate interests (security, improvement), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time.

  5. 05Sharing & processors

    We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with processors who help us run the service — including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database/auth) and Vercel (hosting and analytics) — under contractual data-protection terms. International transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

  6. 06Retention

    We keep project content for as long as your account is active, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period unless we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons. You can delete individual projects at any time.

  7. 07Your rights

    Subject to your jurisdiction, you can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, object to processing, and (CCPA) opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” — which we do not do. To exercise any right, email support@rmhcontractingnz.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority or the NZ Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
